Welcome

With the arrival of our latest family addition, Isabelle Rose Kaeslin, on 6 September 2007 and Andreas Edward Kaeslin on 17 August 2009, I decided it was time to join the blogging age in order to better share family photos and stories. So if you have wandered across this site or received the link via an email, I do hope you enjoy what we post. I promise to try and update regularly so keep coming back often.

A few new photos!

Well it has been awhile since I posted new pictures. Been a bit bad at taking pictures lately. Need to ,work on that again. Here are a couple from just around the house this last weekend. Andreas is really growing and looks like such a big baby. Already hard to immagine him as this tiny newborn. Where did the time go. He will be 6 months old in 2 weeks!!! Aside from a cold at the moment, he is doing really great. Rolling over, sucking on his toes, babbling all kinds of sounds. Not that great at sitting up on his own as everytime we try , he arches his back in some kind of effort to get up and well he ends up just sliding down. We have tried to feed him some solids a couple of times, mainly because he wants to nurse so much be he really wants nothing to do with it. Makes all kinds of faces and spits it out. (another favorite past time...spitting).

Isabelle, well what can I say...she is just a unique little individual!! Such a cutie and so funny. I am sure she will be the class clown some day. Everything she does is funny and she laughs all the time. I think we is starting to see the down side of the terrible 2's. She still will through a good fit and whine for things (very strong headed) but she is listening much better, the tantrums dont last as long and the running off for fun seems to be over. She really responds well to things being explainded to her (most of the time). She is also talking up a storm. It is amazing how much she can say in both languages and even more amazing how she knows when to speak what, obviously her english is much better than her german at this point but I am sure that will change eventually. Not sure how I feel about that. When she is not sure of something in german she mixes her languages of course is normal. Just really cute to listen to her speak and the facial expressions this girl makes are amazing. Cant describe them but she can sure talk you into things. She is still totally in love with her brother. She is very protective if anyone comes near him. She will literally drag his carseat away if anyone comes up to have a look at him (little kids mostly). She hugs and kisses him all the time and if he makes any sounds, she is off to check on him immediately, always reporting back to me that he is ok. Really looking forward to watching these two grown and play together!
