Welcome

With the arrival of our latest family addition, Isabelle Rose Kaeslin, on 6 September 2007 and Andreas Edward Kaeslin on 17 August 2009, I decided it was time to join the blogging age in order to better share family photos and stories. So if you have wandered across this site or received the link via an email, I do hope you enjoy what we post. I promise to try and update regularly so keep coming back often.

My Christmas Morning Trick

Isabelle has always had a very strong neck and has held her head up quite well for a very long time. We are always working a bit on our tummy time which is not our favorite, so that she can learn to push herself up and continue to strengthen all those muscles. Well I put her down on her mat on Christmas morning and she just pushed herself right up, with no problem. She
was very very proud of herself. Now of course everytime I lay her down for a nap, the first thing she does is start pusing herself and looking all around. I have to rub her head and back to get her to relax so she can sleep. Needless to say, she is not as mad when I lay her down for tummy time anymore because she can get herself up and really look around good.

Christmas Dinner

Fondue!!! Yummy!!!

Unfortunately I did not get and pictures of us actually eating. Oh well, maybe next year. But we had such a wonderful evening. And those are really candles on the Christmas tree. We lit them just before opening presents. They sent the kids out of the room ( actually they all ran out in front of the house barefoot !!! Remember it is covered in snow!!) and lit the candles
and then they were allowed back in.

Remember all those hats I was knitting, well here are a few of them. I think they all really enjoyed them.

Christmas Eve

Well this is just alot of pictures but I thought they were all nice. Davis and I went skiing in the morning and then Ueli, Davis and I went in the afternoon. Plenty of volunteers to look after Isabelle. And fortunately we are never that far away really, so we can easily go for and hour or 2 and Isbabelle just sleeps most of the time, much to the disappointment of those
looking after her.

In the evening we all had dinner together in the hotel / restaurant up behind us. It was very nice. Isabelle thought she would chew on her Götti's (Godfather) finger for awhile. Very cute.

And finally, Davis decided she wanted to open her presents the swiss way, which ment in the evening. It was nice but we both missed the Christmas morning exerience so I think that is the last time we will do that!

On our Way

Up in the gondola all bundled up. What a perfect day. Nothing but sun! Bit
scarry looking at all those bags but was even more scarry was getting it all
in the car!! But we made it and are having a great time so far.

First day out in the snow

Gorgeous, sunny day!!! Not a cloud in the ski and there is alot more snow
than last year. Davis went off with Rahel and Martin. (Ueli's brother) and
Ueli and I worked on getting Isabelle's sled all set up and safe. I think
this sled has been around up here for almost 30yrs at least but not use in
the last several. We found it in the attic and attached Isabelles carry bag
to it. It works great!!!

Today, Davis and I are off for a run together while Ueli stays with Issy and
then he will go with Davis. Hoping this afternoon Aunti Jacqueline will
watch her for an hour and we can all go together once.
