Welcome

With the arrival of our latest family addition, Isabelle Rose Kaeslin, on 6 September 2007 and Andreas Edward Kaeslin on 17 August 2009, I decided it was time to join the blogging age in order to better share family photos and stories. So if you have wandered across this site or received the link via an email, I do hope you enjoy what we post. I promise to try and update regularly so keep coming back often.

Just a sweety

I just love this picture. She was actually sitting quite nicely in her bouncy seat out on the grass while we were carving a pumkin.

Halloween

Well I was not to sure where to begin with this blogging thing, so seeing how it is Halloween today, I thought I would begin with a few Halloween pictures. In case you cant exactly tell, I was a piece of cheese for my little mouse. We had a great time attending a friend's Halloween party on Saturday night. Unfortunately I did not manage to get any pictures of our hostess Ellen, as she was very busy that evening. She too is from California. Berkley to be specific. Her family has been here since February this year.

Ok, This is the bad cheese picture. If you look closely you can see the cheesey pattern :-) The mouse seemed to enjoy it.

Handball

Davis has become quite the handball player. Here are some pictures from their games last Saturday. Davis is the one in the goal in these pictures, however she prefers not to be. And yes that is Ueli in there as the coach.

Hard to see but here she is knocking the ball away from the goal. Yay Davis!!

Melchsee Frutt

Melchsee Frutt is a beautiful small mountain town where we spend alot of
time during the summer as well as the winter. It is a season village, which
means that between winter and summer and summer and winter, the entire town
is closed. Nothing is open and no one is around. Ok, I imagine the workers
preparing for the ski season might be around but even that preparation seems
to take place mostly before the town is snowed in. And what do I mean by
snowed in?? Well, in the summer there is a one lane road you can drive up.
You can also take the gondola. In the winter, this road is a very long ski
run. So the only way up is with the gondola. Of course between seasons, the
gondola is not operating, so for a period of time every year, there is no
way in or out of town.

I had taken the odd picture up there but when mom was here in October, she
took alot really beautiful pictures of the area on a post card perfect
weekend.
